Job Description:

Seminole Classic Casino pioneered Indian gaming when it opened as the country’s first large stakes bingo hall in 1979, eventually expanding with gaming machines and poker. The landmark casino is now home to over 1,000 state-of-the-art, newest-title slot machines and other local favorites such as Diamond Lottos, Fort Knox, Pirate’s Loot. The gaming leader also offers 24/7 live table game action with games including Blackjack, Baccarat, Spanish 21, Three Card Poker and many more. Seminole Classic Casino also features the Hollywood Hall entertainment pavilion and the Stage Bar, a full-service bar that features live entertainment nightly. Job Summary:

 This position is responsible for installing, upgrading, converting, servicing, adjusting and repairing slot machines. Under the direction of Slot Operations, this person will apply electrical theory and related knowledge to test, repair and maintain the slot machines and related gaming equipment.

Essential Job Functions:

May include but are not limited to:

  • Performs all repairs and service requirements necessary for Slot machines and related gaming equipment
  • Performs Installation, configuration, diagnostic testing, and final testing of all slot machines and associated equipment, in accordance with the manufactures Operation and Service Guide, and department policies and procedures.
  • Remove and replace failed replaceable units during installation and upgrades in accordance with the manufactures Operation and Service Guide, and department policies and procedures.
  • Ensures all slot machines on the casino floor are operating according to company standards.
  • Rebuilds parts/equipment during down times, and maintains the parts inventory as assigned
  • Prioritize workloads to meet business demands
  • Circulates through the assigned area performing repairs as necessary
  • Ensures that all slot/storage areas are cleaned and organized
  • Responsible for the initial set up and testing of all new slot products
  • Completes all regulatory/operational documents thoroughly and legibly
  • Assists in the training of subordinates and the development of new methods and techniques for training manuals
  • Maintains the integrity of the slot machine equipment and secure all company assets and property at all times
  • Conducts themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and Seminole Tribe of Florida/departmental policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one or two years experience and/or training as electronics technician responsible for maintenance and repair; or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. Knowledge of technical detail of all Slot machines.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair Slot machines.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical manuals, and related documents such as electrical schematics and understand the functionality of electrical components.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities. Technically proficient in the assembly and operation of Slot machines. Proficient understanding of hardware to meet machine software requirements. May be required to pass a written exam specific to the position.

  • Exposure to gaming related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise, high volume guest/employee contact in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Also required are frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing steps and sitting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color and peripheral vision.

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.

As part of Seminole Gaming’s employment process, final candidates will be required to obtain gaming licensure by completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations, prior to an offer being extended. These background checks may include, but are not limited to:
