Job description

Provide a high level of guest service to slot players by breaking bills, answering questions, giving directions, and paying out jackpots. Support all marketing initiatives and floor promotions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Service slots by performing minor repairs.
  • Monitors slot play and assures Slot Department security.
  • Direct and dispatch other team members to events identified by the slot dispatch system.
  • Ability to act independently while drawing conclusions from written and computer-generated materials.
  • Ability to operate personal computer (to access & input information using SDS, CMP, et. al.), to perform job functions and assist guests and work as slot dispatcher.
  • Walk the casino floor in assigned area, watching for change lights or other signs that a guest needs assistance.
  • Check station before, during, and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness to include light cleaning duties such as, but not limited to, cleaning ashtrays, removing dirty glasses, and wiping down slot machines, and chairs.
  • Ability to collect information and solve guest concerns promptly and efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of guest service, including but not limited to, verbally greeting each guest with a smile and eye contact, look for service opportunities, promote the property promotions, events and Player Club benefits, and check for guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to provide clear direction, instruction, and guidance to guests. Must be able to listen and respond to guest inquiries in a positive and professional manner.
  • Ability to speak and understand the English language sufficient to understand all inquiries from guests, communicates complex instructions to guests, and communicates with slot staff via two-way radio.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal instructions from management.
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to sell/make/buy change and count total bank.Compute correct jackpots amounts. Balance bank at the beginning/end of the shift to ensure accountability.
  • Ability to use two-way radio, calculator, and computer keyboard.
  • Ability to operate keys, small tools, SDS cards.
  • Ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift and remain calm during emergency situations.
  • Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
  • Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate.
  • Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
  • Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
  • Regular predictable attendance is required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must be at least 21 years of age.

EDUCATION LEVEL:

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

LANGUAGE:

Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.

EXPERIENCE: SPECIAL SKILLS: PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Ability to walk, stand, or sit for long periods of time.

Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.

Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.

Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

Alcohol Awareness Certification required.
