Job Description
Performs all repairs, modifications, and preventive maintenance to ensure maximum performance and condition of all slot machines. This includes special projects and overhauling machines. Guide and instruct slot technicians to obtain maximum efficiency
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct the daily operations of the department in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Administer approved changes within the department relating to personnel, hiring, promotions, demotions, and discharges policies and procedures, subject to the Slot Performance Manager and Slot Director's approval.
  • Establish required training programs for all slot technicians
  • Maintain open lines of communications as well as counsel
  • Guide and instruct slot technicians to obtain maximum efficiency
  • Maintain a close liaison with vendors regarding problem areas with machines and conversions when required
  • Monitor all slot overhaul maintenance programs and assure proper procedures are used by all personnel
  • Monitor slot repair parts inventory and expenditures
  • Perform all other duties as requested by the Slot Performance Manager and Slot Director. Conduct self always in a manner that reflects positively on Harrah's and encourage others to do the same

Qualifications
  • Must be minimum 21 years of age
  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of actual technical experience in Slots
  • Minimum of three (3) years direct supervision with progressively increasing levels of responsibility authority in the slot repair department
  • Must have a working knowledge of all the several types of slot machines, change machines, coin wrappers, and any other equipment associated with slot repair
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, electric circuitry, and blueprints
  • Work requires ability to work on integrated circuits, computers, coin rollers and sorters, test equipment, and install/repair S.D.S. (slot data system), plus a fundamental knowledge of electronics
  • Must possess effective communication and customer service skills
  • Must be willing to work any day of the week and any shift, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to have a good relationship with co-workers and work as a team
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance
  • Needed: Building Profile, NV & Gaming License, NV

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have the ability to work on integrated circuits, computers, coin rollers and sorters, test equipment, and install/repair S.D.S. (slot data system), plus a fundamental knowledge of electronics
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, as well as lie on back to work inside the confines of a slot machine cabinet for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to push and lift weight up to 100 pounds
  • Must be able to see small objects in poorly lighted areas
  • Must possess coordination and manual dexterity to work with power saws, etc
  • Must be able to continuously maneuver around casino/hotel as needed
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English as well as tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust
