Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION JOB SUMMARY: Provides customer service at the city facilities, including the Laguna Lake Golf Course pro-shop and the SLO Swim Center front counter; collects fees from patrons, processes daily/shift revenue paperwork, assists patrons with facility reservations, and keeps the facility clean and clear of litter. Average hours per week: Laguna Lake Golf Course: 12-24 SLO Swim Center: 20-30 (Summer), 10-15 (non-Summer) CLASS CHARACTERISTICS: This class is distinguished from other front counter positions in that it is part-time/seasonal and is only assigned to City recreation facilities. SUPERVISION SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED: Employees in this classification work under the direct supervision of the divisional Recreation Coordinators and Specialist.

TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: None and No prior working experience. Customer service or experience as a cashier is preferred. or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
