Job description

SLEEP TECHChicago ENT's Sleep Technologists work closely with our Sleep Medicine Director to conduct overnight, daytime, or home sleep studies on patients with known or suspected sleep disorders. This will involve diagnostic and therapeutic services in conjunction with patient care and education. This role will report to the Lead Sleep Tech and will be at our Skokie, Peterson and St. Elizabeth locations.WAGE of a Sleep Technologist$20-$35hr, depending on experience.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES of a Sleep TechnologistPrepare and calibrate equipment required for testing.Determine that all instrumentation is functioning and adjust if necessary.Apply electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standard.Perform appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and make adjustments if necessary.Perform positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting.Educate and assist patient throughout the night to ensure excellent patient care.Monitor & document throughout the night, preferably at a 30-minute interval, to ensure comprehensive and quality recording for ordering physician.Work professionally with team members.Perform Pediatric and Adult testing.Willingness to travel to selected facilities within the Chicagoland area.Other Duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS of a Sleep TechnologistRequiredo Able to work and trouble-shoot independentlyo Excellent customer service skills and an elevated level of professionalismo Excellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferredo Pediatric experienceo Multi-lingual, especially Spanish speakingo One – Five years of clinical experienceo Versed on Natus/Embla/SandmanSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYThis position has no supervisory responsibility.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSRegistered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT/RST).RPSGT Eligible candidateso Required to pass exam within 3 months of hireo The cost of the exam is covered by the employer if passedo The cost of exam materials is split with the employer if passedCPR certifiedAll employees are required to provide proof of vaccination or exemption.A valid driver's license is preferred.WAGE of a Sleep Technologist$25-$35/hr, depending on experience.ENT is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
