Job description

Commercial/Enterprise Account Executive, Tableau & Slack Analytics - Automotive, Utilities and Energy

Overview of the Role: Our Commercial and Enterprise Account Executive teams drive customer success through the full Tableau and Slack platform. Our Commercial team focuses on growing organizations of 250–5,000 employees, while our Enterprise team works with our most strategic customers — organizations of 5,000+ employees. As a trusted partner, you won't just sell AI-powered analytics and collaboration tools — you'll work alongside agents and customers to accelerate revenue and help businesses see, understand, and act on their data in entirely new ways.

This role focuses on accounts within the Automotive, Utilities and Energy Industries. Some positions may be office-based, office-flexible, or remote depending on the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a sales pipeline by prospecting new accounts, growing existing customers, and closing a high volume of transactions across the full Tableau and Slack platform.
  • Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders and C-suite decision makers to drive customer satisfaction and long-term value.
  • Coordinate with internal teams — including product support, customer success, and sales engineering — to meet customer needs and deliver on business objectives.
  • Partner with account teams and the broader partner ecosystem to develop territory plans and execute long-term account strategy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Commercial: 5–10 years of full-cycle sales experience, with at least 3 years in a field sales role.
  • Enterprise: 10 years of full-cycle sales experience, with at least 5 years in enterprise sales.
  • Proven ability to manage existing accounts for upsell and cross-sell, or to drive new logo acquisition.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with experience presenting to C-level executives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling business intelligence, analytics, data, or workplace collaboration/productivity platforms.
  • Ability to develop and execute territory and account plans in a complex, matrixed sales environment.
  • Background in the Automotive, Utilities and Energy industries.
  • Experience will be evaluated based on core competencies, including extracurricular leadership, military service, volunteer work, and other relevant experience.

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring, Salesforce will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
