Job description

Eastside Cycle and Ski is looking for a skilled and motivated Bicycle Mechanic & Ski Technician to join our team. This dual-role position involves performing maintenance, repairs, and custom tuning for both bicycles and skis. The ideal candidate is passionate about outdoor sports, mechanically inclined, and enjoys delivering excellent customer service.

Bicycle Mechanic Duties:

  • Inspect, repair, and tune bicycles of all types (road, mountain, e-bikes, etc.)

  • Assemble new bikes and perform safety checks

  • Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend repair solutions

  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop

  • Interface with customers

  • Perform all POS duties accurately and efficiently

Ski Technician Duties:

  • Tune, wax, and edge skis and snowboards

  • Adjust and mount bindings to manufacturer specifications

  • Perform boot fitting and basic repairs

  • Prepare rental equipment and ensure safety standards are met

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a bike mechanic and/or ski tech preferred

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

  • Technology qualified - Point of Sale, Outlook, website tech manuals, etc.

  • Familiarity with tools and tuning equipment

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
