A little about this position:

  • First-year instructors should expect toteachpredominantlyfirst time and beginner levels.
  • The majority of lessons will be children aged between 3 and 14 years old.
  • Mammoth Ski & Ride School provides world class training opportunities to all instructors through its day off certification training program and daily paid training from 8:30am to 9:30am (group lessons start at 10:00am).Mammoth Ski & Ride School was awarded the inaugural PSIA/AASI Western Division School of the Year in April 2026.

NOTE: Ski & Ride School employee housing is currently full for the 26/27 season. Successful applicants can be placed on an employee housing waitlist; however, it is unlikely that a spot will become available until mid-way through the season.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to ski at an intermediate level or above.
  • Experience working with kids preferred, e.g. camp counselor, swim coach, day care provider, etc.
  • Experience in coaching or teaching preferred.
  • Experience in the guest service industry preferred.
  • Excellent social and verbal communication skills .

Hourly Pay: $20.00

NOTE:Start date options are November 17, December 8, or December 14. Must be able to work till April 11. There is typically instructing work available till end of May.
