Summary/Objective
The Production Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring packaging equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role ensures that products are packaged according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory standards, and company procedures, while maintaining high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency. Mixing: Operates Small Ingredient Silo's, Large Ingredient Silo's, Mixer, Mill, Extruder, Brick Picker, Check weigher, Metal Detector, Palletizer machines, and axillary equipment to support the mixing operation in accordance with SOP's and WI's to produce bricks in accordance to productivity standards. Operators will also be trained on SAP and MII functions to support productivity standards. This is a 1st Shift position, Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Essential Functions
  • Works under the guidance of Supervisor or Crew Leader to perform and complete the assigned duties in timely manner.
  • Ensures that equipment are maintained in good and safe working condition and work area is clean, safe and organized.
  • Monitors equipment performance and recommends improvements.
  • Duly follows organizational and work specific instructions, attends applicable trainings and meetings.
  • Fulfils tasks efficiently and in due course. Meets productivity standards (where defined). Can organize and perform work effectively.
  • Abides by safety regulations at all times. Promotes safety standards at work place and in the team. Identifies potential safety risks and reports them actively to line manager.
  • Demonstrates initiative to exceed a common performance. Flexibly adopts changes in tasks, work place, or team. Works reliably, keeps agreements. Assumes responsibility for tasks entrusted.
  • Is open, respectful, and helpful. Constructively contributes with own skills to problem solving in team. Shares and accepts information and knowledge.
  • Participates in department or quality team meetings. Suggests improvements and works alone or with others to implement improvements, as assigned.
  • Trains new operators and/or trainees as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
