Job description

Position Overview

Our organization is looking for a Family Medicine Physician with Obstetrics to become a part of our Decatur Residency Program and its associated Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). This faculty role presents a rewarding combination of clinical practice, education, and community involvement, allowing you to serve a varied patient demographic while guiding residents and medical students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive outpatient and inpatient family medicine services, including obstetrical care.
  • Oversee and instruct residents and medical students in both clinical and hospital environments.
  • Conduct teaching rounds for hospitalized patients and those in obstetrics.
  • Engage in academic endeavors such as lectures, seminars, and conferences.
  • Participate in departmental, residency, and hospital committees, contributing to quality improvement efforts.
  • Support and engage in research and scholarly initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Possession of an MD or DO degree.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
  • Completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency Program.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Illinois.
  • DEA license (or eligibility) is required.
  • Dedication to serving multicultural and underserved communities.
  • Willingness to participate in inpatient and obstetrical on-call duties.
