ROLE SUMMARY:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure ownership and integration to drive sustainable EHS management systems
  • Knowledge & experience to provide effective training on all appropriate related topics including creating presentation material for specific audiences and speaking in front of a group
  • Development of EHS improvement initiatives and the daily management of on-going EHS operations
  • Provide guidance to senior management team regarding the EHS strategic objectives and regulatory compliance issues
  • Understanding of Title V permits, wastewater permits, hazardous waste, etc.
  • Direct activities to conduct investigations, identify root cause and recommend corrective measures for any and all environmental non-compliance incidents
  • Represent the facility to external regulatory agencies
  • Direct activities to compile EHS information and other data as required by Zone, State and Federal agencies
  • Complete routine reports and inspections required by zone, state, and federal agencies
  • Conduct assessments of regulatory impacts and EHS risks posed by project and process changes
  • Become the subject matter expert of the ABI Environmental Pillar
  • Contribute to the overall needs and objectives of the department and brewery
  • Team building and collaboration - ability to involve employees and the leadership team in the process

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Environmental or other related EHS disciplines.
  • 3 years of safety/environmental experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to collaboratively work with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work any and all shifts and provide 'on-call' coverage outside work hours and some weekends and holidays
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, strong leadership skills, a comfort level with change, and the ability to lead change
  • Working knowledge of government regulations (i.e. EPA, OSHA, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements (federal, state and provincial) and apply them to the workplace
  • Effective decision making and a willingness to use available resources to accomplish goals
  • Acts with integrity in all EHS matters to maintain EHS compliance and excellence
  • Ability to lead teams and facilitate effective meetings
  • Investigative, analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent Computer Skills - Microsoft Office
