Contractor Logistic Support Site Supervisor Pt. Mugu California

The compensation range for this role is $103,204 - $108,364 

Cost of Living (COL) benefit included to help offset the higher cost of living in the area.

Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors including but not limited to: minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, and location.

Education and Experience Requirements
Associate's Degree Aviation, Business, Engineering or related curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience, in an aviation technical/support discipline, sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 7 years aircraft maintenance experience, 5 years of which must be on Gulfstream aircraft. 2 years supervisory experience. Position Purpose: Provide day to day supervision of a team of technicians at a remotely located off-site location providing dedicated full or partial maintenance support for contracted aircraft.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions:
  1. Under the guidance of the Site Manager, using subordinate employees, be responsible for facility day to day operations, launch/recovery/debriefing, scheduled inspections and discrepancy correction as required. Ensure aircraft appearance is maintained. Supervise a continuous safety program in the area including operation of support equipment, aircraft systems and general housekeeping.
  2. Assist the Site Manager in daily scheduling of employees, tasks and aircraft maintenance.
  3. Possess ability to successfully perform and/or supervise the performance of all day to day maintenance, inspection, repair and support of assigned aircraft. Based on judgment, theory and experience, initiate the steps required. to reach a satisfactory solution to aircraft systems/support equipment and maintenance operational problems. Suggest/implement ways to improve the general operational readiness capabilities. Utilize resources available within the company, personal experience and contract limitations to ensure the customer achieves the highest possible state of operational safety, readiness and performance. .
  4. Follow approved Department/Site Operations Manuals, procedures and associated contract guidance. Submit Field Service reports on significant incidents, accidents and operational events per current reporting procedures. Maintain effective communications with management, customer and staff. Provide timely/accurate reports regarding significant issues and/or events. .
  5. Maintain the ability to travel as required. to support the aircraft. Ensure that good housekeeping, approved service techniques and safety procedures are observed by subordinate personnel. Adhere to all Federal, Corporate and departmental policies and procedures that may apply. .
  6. Assist the site manager in conducting performance appraisals and coordination with Human Resources to manage assigned direct and contract employees. .
Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements:
  1. Military experience helpful.
  2. Maintenance training on assigned aircraft required. Capable of performing system and operational checks including engine and APU runs.
  3. Knowledge of sustaining maintenance and daily flight operations under FAR Part 91/135 required.
  4. Valid A & P license required.
  5. Must have demonstrated strong leadership ability.
  6. Experience on active flying operations in military or other support programs helpful.
  7. Must be capable of obtaining and holding US Government Secret Clearance.
This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
