Title: SACC Site Supervisor

Work Year: School-Year Position (Before- and After-School Program Schedule)
Department: Early Childhood Education School-Aged Childcare (SACC)
FLSA Status: Non-Union / Non-Represented, Non-Exempt
Reports To: Director of Early Childhood, in collaboration with the Early Childhood Business Supervisor


Hours: 6:45-8:45 am; 3:00-6:00 pm
Hourly Rate: $23.00

Position Overview:

The SACC Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the assigned School-Aged Childcare (SACC) site to ensure a safe, organized, and enriching before- and after-school environment. The Site Supervisor provides leadership to site staff, maintains compliance with program requirements, and fosters positive relationships with families and school personnel. The Site Supervisor ensures that the program operates in accordance with district policies and approved child-to-staff ratios.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Operations and Supervision

  • Open and close the SACC site daily, ensuring proper and safe daily operations.
  • Supervise children enrolled in the program, ensuring their safety, well-being, and positive engagement.
  • Supervise site staff and maintain adequate staffing to meet approved child-to-staff ratios.
  • Complete written staff evaluations twice per year and provide ongoing feedback and guidance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized site that reflects the professionalism and quality of the program.

Planning and Activities

  • Plan, coordinate, execute, and actively engage in age-appropriate activities that provide a balance of child-selected and teacher-directed experiences, quiet and active periods, and small- and large-group activities.
  • Ensure activities promote social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Order and manage supplies for before- and after-school programming.

Family and School Communication

  • Maintain ongoing communication with SACC families and school personnel.
  • Ensure families understand and follow program schedules and procedures for drop-off and pick-up.
  • Respect and maintain confidentiality when working with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Meet regularly with the Director of Early Childhood, Program Coordinator, and/or Early Childhood Business Supervisor to share program updates, address concerns, and plan next steps.

Compliance and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date on-site files for all enrolled students, including attendance records, health records, and required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all district policies and Office of Early Childhood (OEC) requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least twenty (20) years of age.
  • Minimum of one (1) program year of supervised experience serving school-aged children.
  • Successful completion of criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
  • Twelve (12) credits in Early Childhood Education.
  • Current First Aid certification, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to supervise and positively guide groups of school-aged children.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and compliance records.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and school personnel.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency or high-stress situations.
