Job description

Location: 11401 Harmon Rd., Fort Worth, TX

Compensation: $24.00 an hour

Role Description:

As a Safety Lead, Site Operations, you will support the safety compliance activities within the fulfillment center. This role is focused on conducting daily safety observations, documenting findings, and escalating unsafe conditions or behaviors to operations leadership for resolution. You will assist with the training delivery and administration of Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and Trailer Dock Release (TDR) programs under the direction of the Operations leadership.  

This role spends most of its time on the warehouse floor conducting audits, engaging associates, verifying compliance, etc. This role is well-suited to someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable following structured processes and checklists, and committed to promoting a safe workplace for all associates. 

This role reports to the Site General Manager with a dotted-line partnership to the Safety organization. 

What you'll do:

Training Support - PIT & TDR 

  • Support delivery of site-level PIT and Trailer Doc Release (TDR) training for new and existing associates as directed by the Safety team.  
  • Monitor associate compliance with PIT and TDR procedures during daily floor observations and escalate non-compliance to Operations leadership. 
  • Maintain accurate certification records and training documentation.  
  • Support incident investigations involving PIT equipment and suggest corrective actions.  

Site Safety Audits & Inspections 

  • Conduct daily warehouse safety walks and inspections.  
  • Perform routine audits of PIT operations, pedestrian traffic areas, emergency exits, dock operations, storage locations, and housekeeping standards.  
  • Identify and flag unsafe conditions, behaviors, or compliance gaps to operations leadership for follow-up and resolution.  
  • Track audit observations;  verify that flagged items have been addressed in a timely manner. 

Safety Equipment Checks 

  • Maintain inventory and inspection records for safety equipment, including:  
  • Fall protection harnesses  
  • Lanyards  
  • First aid kits  
  • Eye wash stations  
  • AEDs  
  • Spill response supplies  
  • Emergency response equipment  
  • Fire extinguishers  
  • Safety signage  
  • Conduct routine inspections and ensure damaged or expired equipment is removed from service and replaced promptly.  

Safety Program Support 

  • Support onboarding and safety orientation for new associates.  
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis activities.  
  • Assist with emergency preparedness drills and response activities.  
  • Support internal safety audits and regulatory inspections as needed.  

Other Duties 

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

What you'll bring to the table: 

  • 1+ years of warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or fulfillment center safety experience.  
  • Familiarity with Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Operations and Trailer Dock Release (TDR) procedures. 
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA requirements and warehouse safety best practices.  
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.  
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate training and certification records.  
  • Ability to influence safe behaviors in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and training management systems.  
  • Ability to spend extended periods walking, standing, climbing stairs, and working in a warehouse environment.  
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • OSHA 30 Certification.  
  • Train-the-Trainer certification for PIT operations.  
  • First Aid/CPR/AED Certification.  
  • Experience in fulfillment, logistics, or e-commerce operations.  
  • Experience supporting safety management systems and compliance programs.
