| Aspect | Site Inspector | Construction Supervisor |
|---|---|---|
| Credentials | Typically requires certifications like OSHA, construction safety, or specific trade licenses | Often holds project management or supervisory certifications, with experience in construction |
| Work Environment | On-site inspections, reviewing work quality, safety compliance | Oversees daily construction activities, manages teams, coordinates schedules |
| Employer & Industry Usage | Used by construction firms, contractors, and project owners for quality control | Employed by construction companies and general contractors for project oversight |
While both roles are essential on construction sites, a Site Inspector primarily focuses on quality assurance and safety compliance through inspections. In contrast, a Construction Supervisor manages daily operations, supervises workers, and ensures project progress. Understanding these differences helps clarify career paths and hiring needs in the construction industry.
