Single Family Business Analyst

At Freddie Mac, you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and you'll be part of a team helping to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation.

Position Overview:

The Single-Family division at Freddie Mac is seeking creative, curious, technology-minded individuals interested in learning the mortgage business while building skills in business analysis, data-driven decision-making, process improvement, and emerging AI-enabled tools.

Freddie Mac is a dynamic environment with constant change that enables Analysts to grow through a wide variety of experiences and responsibilities. Our Single-Family College Analyst Cohort program is crafted to ease the transition of college into the workforce by providing skills training and mentorship programs, as well as in-class learning opportunities with senior leadership.

Our Impact:

  • Single-Family supports the housing market by providing liquidity, promoting responsible lending, and enabling sustainable homeownership.
  • Our team supports mortgage loan acquisition, securitization, servicing processes, and business tools that improve the borrower and lender experience.
  • We collaborate with financial institutions, investors, and technology teams to design and implement effective business solutions, including innovative and AI-enabled capabilities.

Your Impact:

You will work across Single-Family teams to support business capabilities through data analytics, product development, seller experience, process improvement, and emerging AI tools.

Responsibilities may include documenting processes, developing business requirements, supporting project management, performing research and analytics, identifying process improvements, and assisting with operational improvements and risk mitigation.

You may also:

  • Create and present business insights, analyses, and recommendations using Microsoft Office and AI-assisted productivity tools.
  • Support evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies to improve productivity, processes, and decision-making.
  • Learn Single-Family products, processes, and capabilities to understand how the business operates and where technology can add value.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, Finance, Economics, Business Statistics, Information Systems, Marketing, or related discipline.
  • Strong analytical ability, communication skills, curiosity, confidence, and willingness to learn.
  • Exposure to AI tools, automation, data analytics, product development, or process improvement preferred but not required.
  • Graduation in December 2026 or May 2027 with availability to begin full-time employment in January 2027 or June 2027.

Keys to Success in this Role:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present work and recommendations clearly.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerPoint, and willingness to use AI-enabled productivity tools responsibly.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, tech savvy, and eager to learn new business concepts and tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and collaboration skills in a dynamic team environment.
  • Interest in learning the Single-Family business, including the SF suite of products and how they support Freddie Mac's mission.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $63,000 - $95,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.Employment Type: FULL_TIME
