Our dedicated and compassionate faculty and staff are driven by a common mission: Contribute to innovative approaches in predicting, preventing, and curing diseases, shaping the future of medicine through cutting-edge research.

A Postdoctoral Fellowship position is available immediately at the Arthur Riggs Diabetes and Metabolism Research Institute (ARDMRI) at City of Hope National Medical center under Dr. Supriyo Bhattacharya.  Our mission is to advance the next generation of in-silico algorithms for understanding diabetes and related disease mechanisms and identifying actionable therapeutic targets.

Interested candidates should apply by emailing their CV and a cover letter describing background and research interests.

As a successful candidate, you will:

Perform collaborative research with multiple faculty members at ARDMRI on projects involving genomics data analysis using single cell RNA-seq, CHIP-seq/ATAC-seq, spatial transcriptomics, HiC/HiCHIP, RIBO-seq and next generation long reads sequencing from Oxford Nanopore.

Participate in the development of new computational methods for downstream analysis of genomics data and multiomics integration.

Your qualifications should include:

Ph.D. in Bioinformatics or related discipline

Hands on experience in genomics data analysis, including bulk and single cell RNA-seq, ATAC-seq and CHIP-seq.

Expertise in downstream analysis and biological interpretation of bioinformatic findings

Proficiency in R/Python programming, developing analysis pipelines and experience in working with Linux HPCs

Experience in applying machine learning methods to genomics data analysis

Experience in navigating public databases and genomics data repositories

Prior experience and knowledge in diabetes and metabolic disease research would be considered a plus.
