How much do single cell rna sequencing jobs pay per hour?
What are some common challenges faced by researchers working in single cell RNA sequencing, and how can they be addressed?
What is the difference between Single Cell Rna Sequencing vs Single Cell Genomics Technician?
| Aspect | Single Cell Rna Sequencing | Single Cell Genomics Technician |
|---|---|---|
| Credentials | Typically requires a degree in biology, molecular biology, or related fields; experience with sequencing technologies | Similar credentials; often with laboratory or technical certifications in genomics |
| Work Environment | Laboratories performing sequencing, data analysis, and sample preparation | Laboratories focused on sample processing, sequencing support, and data collection |
| Industry Usage | Used in research labs, biotech, and pharmaceutical companies for gene expression studies | Common in genomics research centers, biotech firms, and academic labs |
Both roles involve working with genomic technologies and require similar educational backgrounds. However, Single Cell Rna Sequencing specialists focus more on RNA analysis and data interpretation, while Single Cell Genomics Technicians support sample preparation and sequencing workflows. Understanding these differences helps in choosing the right career path or job search focus.

As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (COM) has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients. In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine’s faculty and providers are transforming the world of medicine every day. The Department of Internal Medicine is a top-tier department with world-renowned faculty and staff. With world-class research, teaching and medical practice opportunities, why not choose the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine?
The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology Oncology is recruiting for a Postdoctoral fellow to work in Dr. Sarah Skuli’s Lab.
The Skuli Lab is a basic/translational laboratory with a goal of developing new therapeutic strategies for patients with myeloid malignancies [acute myeloid leukemia (AML), myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS)], particularly those with mutations in the tumor suppressor, TP53, which currently portends a terminal prognosis. To achieve this goal, we aim to understand the molecular/cellular biology and mechanisms of therapy resistance of TP53 mutant MDS/AML with a particular focus on metabolism and the tumor microenvironment.
- Follow established research protocols to perform experiments in the lab.
- Design laboratory experiments in coordination with the PI. Understand the scientific principles involved in the research and use those principles to troubleshoot and adjust the protocol as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all laboratory work and experiments.
