Job description

About the role:

As a I&C Instructor you will you will support the new generation of reactors including the AP1000 and the operating fleet from all over the world.

You will report to the Operations and Technical Training Manager and be located in southwestern Pennsylvania. The position is hybrid in nature at the discretion of the manager typically requiring 2-3 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse facility in Madison, PA.ย ย 

About the role:
  1. Participate in all stages of the SAT process of the initial and continuing education programs of their specialty.
  2. Carry out the analysis, design and implementation of initial and continuous training needs in their specialty.
  3. Design, development and implementation of the sessions corresponding to the initial and continuous training courses of licensed and non-licensed operations personnel, including teaching sessions in the classroom, plant, and the simulator.
  4. Carry out the analysis, design and implementation of initial and continuous training needs of their specialty
  5. Collaborate in the analysis and implementation of corrections in the simulator when any type of malfunction is detected, also collaborating in the tests that are required.
  6. Coordinate training, providing support to training committees and/or planning training programs.
  7. Define and collaborate in the development of the supporting documentation required by the assigned activities; as well as in the maintenance and updating of the documentary support already available.
  8. Define and collaborate in the development of advanced educational means (simulators, multimedia, videos, models...) related to the assigned functions; as well as in the maintenance and updating of those already available.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Science/Engineeringย OR
  • A High School Diploma/GED holderย ANDย one of the experience requirements:

4-10 years of experience in the following areas:

  • Navy Nuclear Operatorย OR
  • NRC Reactor Operator (RO) Licenseย OR
  • NRC Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) Licenseย OR
  • Plant specific SRO Certification OR
  • Commercial Nuclear Power Plant Engineerย OR
  • Commercial or civilian nuclear experienceย

Annually Paid: We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500ย  per year.
