Job Summary:
European Energy Exchange AG is focused on building cutting-edge products that shape Europe’s energy markets. They are seeking a Kotlin (JVM) Simulation Platform Developer to design and develop a software suite for simulating and validating trading scenarios in a cloud-native environment.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop a Kotlin-based software suite that simulates and validates complex trading scenarios in a cloud-native environment
• Drive new development by selecting appropriate technologies, tools, and approaches to evolve the platform and its capabilities
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to refine, analyze, and validate requirements, and translate domain knowledge into executable scenarios
• Design a domain-specific language that can be understood and reviewed by non-developers, such as functional analysts
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience developing with Kotlin (or proven strong competence in Java/JVM languages and willingness to learn Kotlin)
• Solid understanding of modern practices in automated testing
• Experience with containerization and cloud technologies (GCP, K8s, Docker)
• Proficiency with modern development tools (Git, Gradle, CI/CD pipelines)
• Comfortable working in Linux environments
