Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer (Kinematic) 2-5+ Years | Level 2 $100,000 - $140,000 | Level 3 $141,000 - $155,000 | Colorado Springs, CO (Schriever SFB - Onsite) | Secret Clearance Required Model the threats that shape missile defense strategy-designing realistic attack scenarios that drive mission readiness and system performance. A Day in the Life - What you'll do * Develop and generate high-fidelity missile trajectory data and threat scenarios using modeling & simulation tools * Analyze customer scenario requirements, provide feedback, and ensure final products meet mission objectives and technical specifications * Build end-to-end threat attack laydowns, simulating adversary tactics, missile selection, and warhead assignment * Collaborate with systems engineers and software developers to troubleshoot models, improve tools, and deliver simulation products on tight timelines Required Qualifications Level 2 (2+ Years or Master's 0-2 Years) * Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or Master's degree * Active DoD Secret clearance required to start * Experience in modeling and simulation * Knowledge of missile systems and six degrees of freedom (6 DoF) trajectory modeling * Familiarity with missile defense system components and interoperability * Understanding of Linux and Windows environments * Ability to work independently and within team environments * Strong time management and scheduling skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Willingness to travel up to 10% Level 3 (5+ Years / Advanced Degree with Experience) * Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years of experience, Master's with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year * Active DoD Secret clearance required to start * Experience in modeling and simulation * Strong knowledge of missile systems and 6 DoF trajectory modeling * Experience with missile defense system components and interoperability * Experience working in Linux and Windows environments * Experience in testing, troubleshooting, and quality control * Ability to lead projects, manage schedules, and delegate tasks * Strong communication and organizational skills * Willingness to travel up to 10% Preferred Qualifications * Knowledge of missile targeting, allocation, and adversary ("Red Force") threat laydowns * Experience with infrared (IR) and radar cross section (RCS) signature modeling * Experience in systems engineering and/or software development and testing (Agile methodologies preferred) * Experience supporting Missile Defense Agency (MDA) ground test events or exercises * Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility Who is Caribou Thunder?
