Modeling and Simulation Analyst, Senior
Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Analyst, Senior to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in assessing the capabilities of the Missile Defense System (MDS). This critical role will involve working in a distributed Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation environment, contributing to MDA Ground Test (GT) events, Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI) activities, and MDA Flight Test (FT) support. The primary focus will be analyzing the Objective Simulation Framework (OSF), delivering analytical support to MDA's distributed software threat simulation
Responsibilities
Provide M&S framework analysis support for GT events, CDI activities, and Flight Test support.
Perform verification of OSF and element configuration settings based on HWIL run data and documentation.
Perform the analysis for the integration of current and future software capabilities into OSF.
Ensure event data quality and integrity through verification and validation analysis of test data.
Develop and run Python tools to support M&S analysis activities.
Document and communicate analysis results across interdisciplinary teams.
Collaborate with a team of analysts and engineers to ensure the successful execution of test simulation campaigns.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent from an accredited institution required.
10+ years of demonstrated relevant experience
Experience with Modeling and Simulation Frameworks.
Expertise in areas of Missile Defense data analysis to include trajectory, RF/EOIR signatures, environmental effects, or tactical communications.
Familiarity with Python scripting language.
Familiarity with Linux.
Possess the ability to clearly express ideas/concepts, perform as part of a team, and be capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment.
Displays excellent communication, organizational, and technical writing skills and takes a proactive role to ensure that responsibilities are completed on or ahead of schedule.
Displays the ability to work within a collaborative environment composed of Government, Prime Contractor, and Supporting Contractor personnel.
Possess the ability to present and explain analytical information in front of varied audiences.
Knowledge of the HWIL architecture infrastructure, including truth presentation utilizing Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) adapter, and/or Ground Test Integrated System Simulation (GTISS) adapter.
Knowledge of the HWIL architecture infrastructure truth presentation to the element models (SMHR, signatures, environment).
Familiarity with data analysis libraries in Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
Familiarity with Network Systems Integration and Test Environment (NSITE)
Familiarity with MDA Ground Test CONOPS.
U.S. Citizenship with Active TS/Secret Security clearance and ability to maintain required clearance.
Physical Description
Employees in these positions will function in a general office/cubicle setting environment, and laboratory/testing setting using standard office equipment and various electronic testing equipment, including a computer, telephone, printers, video equipment, computer software and testing equipment. Will interact in a general office setting environment with various personnel; participate in meetings and contribute to team success; deliver timely results and produce reports; receive and communicate information; may include telework. May function in a specialized laboratory/testing environment using electronic testing equipment, computer software and complex systems. May move and test equipment of various weights. Laboratory environment may require use of protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to safety glasses and protective hearing and footwear. May be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization due to business demands; travel occasionally for assigned work.
