Job Number: R0245332 Model and Simulation Software Engineer The Opportunity: You will play a critical role in advancing our Modeling and Simulation (M&S) capabilities by designing, developing, and integrating AI-enabled models that support complex wargaming and operational decision-making for the DoW. Using core software engineering principles, you'll build scalable simulation components, create realistic behavioral and environmental models, and integrate diverse data sources to drive high-fidelity outcomes. You'll collaborate closely with analysts, domain experts, and other engineers to ensure that models accurately represent real-world conditions and evolving mission needs. As part of this effort, you'll apply full-stack engineering skills to shape the technical vision for next-generation M&S systems by evaluating new frameworks, enhancing simulation performance, and implementing architectures that support future extensibility. Your contributions will directly influence how clients explore scenarios, assess alternatives, and derive insights from complex simulation environments. Join us. The world can't wait. You Have: * Experience with developing software in Java, C++, C, or C#
* Experience with version control, documentation practices, and GitLab workflows
* Experience working in Linux environments
* Knowledge of the Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) networking protocol
* Knowledge of COTS and GOTS Modeling & Simulation (M&S) and data tools, such as Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE), Mission Object Configuration Tool (MOCT), Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG), and various Image Generators (IG) for data transformation, configuration, and standardization
* Knowledge of combat weapons systems including aircraft, ground-based radars, and surface-to-air systems
* Ability to write clean, efficient source code for new applications and enhance existing codebases
* Ability to support the evaluation, selection, and integration of M&S tools
* TS/SCI clearance
* HS diploma or GED Nice If You Have: * Experience developing AFSIM scripts to tailor model behaviors and scenario configurations

* Experience working within the SOF communities

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
