Our West Union, SC location is looking for anIntern to join our Wireless Hardware R&D team. In this role, you will design, modify and manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production and release. In addition, you will serve as the important resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to completion and distribution.

Duration: 40 hours/wk, starting in January 2026 with preference for candidate to continue into following term (Winter & Spring).

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform lab RF measurements (RF transmitter power and receiver sensitivity)

  • Measure circuit current, voltage, efficiency and thermal performance

  • Measure high speed digital circuit performance

  • Troubleshoot circuit board including soldering

  • Flashing FW onto digital signal processors and ARM processors

  • Gain proficiency in operating RF test equipment (signal analyzer, oscilloscope, signal generator) and general hardware test instruments

  • Gain familiarity with circuit board layout, troubleshooting skills and soldering skills

  • Ask questions and offer input when supervisors deal with more complex problems

  • Learn and understand any regulations related to departmental tasks

Required Skills & Experience

  • Enrolled in an Electrical Engineering or related degree program

  • Fundamental understanding of electronic circuits and RF circuits

  • Able to work on site in West Union, SC

  • Academic or professional experience and exposure to RF technologies and concepts

  • Professional workplace communication skills

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Enrolled in a graduate level Electrical Engineering or related degree program

  • Completion of RF related coursework or projects

  • Experienced in wireless communication principles and theories

  • Experienced with advanced modeling and simulation
