Job description

Looking for a new opportunity? SIMOS has immediate openings for Warehouse Associates. At SIMOS, associates are paid weekly on Fridays and have a career path with great advancement opportunities! This role requires you to be able to load and unload trailers and manually lift, stack, and wrap pallets. Must have 1 year of warehouse experience.

Note - This is a physically demanding, fast-paced role that requires manual labor and frequent lifting. Employees will be actively working on their feet throughout the shift and must be able to safely lift, carry, move, and handle materials as part of their daily responsibilities. The work environment is production-driven and requires the ability to maintain productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced setting.

Schedule

  • Monday - Thursday 6 am-3:30 pm; Friday 6 am-Noon
  • Overtime could be required as needed.
  • Schedule dates and times could fluctuate.

Job Responsibilities

  • Unload inbound trailers manually and via conveyor belts
  • Load, stack, shrink-wrap, and palletize products efficiently
  • Perform inbound warehouse functions in a fast-paced environment
  • Use proper lifting techniques to handle boxes weighing up to 60 lbs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet productivity and safety goals
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
  • Ability to accurately read, identify, and match numbers.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to safely perform required lifting as part of the job's essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Basic knowledge of Tie High systems/processes preferred.
  • Prior Tie High experience is a plus.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain quality standards.
  • General math skills.
  • Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 60 lbs. without powered equipment assistance
  • Visual capacity to clearly recognize, read, and understand standard operating procedures, signs, part number labels, and instructions
  • Ability to see/hear and distinguish sounds and signs that alert, instruct, or notify one of danger, such as warning signs, horns, alarms, speech, and vehicular/pedestrian traffic
  • Ability to coordinate maneuvering of varied bilateral hand and foot controls at a rapid pace
  • Flexibility to work in either a hot or cold work environment

Note: The interview location is not at the job site; the job is located off E. McGregor Rd., Indianapolis, IN.

Possible Future Opportunity:

We could have openings for Forklift Operators. Please note any experience you may have for the recruiter to add to your profile. This role will require a minimum of 1 year of experience operating a Stand Up Raymond Swing Reach 537 or Raymond Swing Reach 9600. Additional wages for this role will be discussed as opportunities present.

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $16.50 - $16.50 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
