This is an exciting job opportunity for a IoT Product Architect onsite in Atlanta, GA with Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting.


This role focuses on embedded firmware, with an emphasis on architecture, design, and technical leadership rather than hands-on coding. You’ll guide development teams and help shape overall solution direction.

What you’ll do

Responsible for all Node device architecture design decisions.
Plan and lead the Technical Architecture analysis, design, and implementation of project application environments
Responsible for architecture documentation and for leading the technical review processes and obtaining technical approvals by the relevant technical bodies within Cooper Lighting Solutions
Leading the adoption of best-in-class software engineering practices, frameworks, and tools. You mentor and you provide guidance and feedback to other software developers.
Work within standard protocols to design usage in our products and support the intended functionality. Document and review these protocol decisions including coding proof of concept and assessment code. Then provide training and support for the developers to use them.

Bachelor's or degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
15+ Yr experience in IoT, Smart Home, RF, or relative engineering technology
BLE MESH protocol & security awareness
Zigbee Protocol (ZB1.2HA and ZB3.0) & security awareness
CanBus, DALI Bus level protocol & security awareness
Light Engine, Open Loop Daylight Control, Auto Calibration, and other lighting technologies

Salary & Benefits

Salary: $133,717.50 - $178,290.00 (based on experience level)

Bonus: target bonus opportunity 15%
