Position Summary...What you'll do...Senior Manager, Competitive Intelligence Walmart Connect – Marketing Strategy About the Team The Marketing Strategy function exists to bring a holistic, portfolio-level perspective to Walmart Connect Marketing, helping leadership evaluate tradeoffs, align investments, and make better decisions across the full marketing portfolio. The team operates as a consultative partner to Marketing leadership, synthesizing market signals, competitive insights, and performance data into clear points of view that guide investment and strategic planning. Marketing Strategy does not execute campaigns. Instead, the team shapes decisions by delivering structured insights, executive narratives, and strategic recommendations that connect marketing investments to business outcomes. Role Overview Walmart Connect is seeking a Senior Manager, Competitive Intelligence to build and lead a centralized Voice-of-Market and competitive intelligence capability within the Marketing Strategy team. This role will help leadership understand how Walmart Connect is positioned relative to competitors across retail media networks and media technology platforms and translate those insights into clear strategic recommendations for marketing leadership. The Senior Manager will analyze third-party research, advertiser perception data, and competitive signals to craft executive-level narratives about the evolving retail media landscape and how competitors market their advertising products to advertisers. This role will play a key part in helping leaders identify opportunities, anticipate competitive moves, and make informed marketing investment decisions. Key Responsibilities Competitive Intelligence & Market Analysis
  • Analyze the retail media and media technology landscape to understand Walmart Connect’s position relative to competitors.
  • Combine insights from third-party research, industry reports, analyst coverage, and advertiser feedback to identify emerging trends, threats, and opportunities.
  • Monitor how competitors position, package, and market their advertising products to advertisers.
  • Identify patterns in competitor messaging, product launches, and go-to-market strategies.
Voice-of-Market & Advertiser Sentiment
  • Lead the centralized Voice-of-Market capability within Marketing Strategy, including advertiser perception measurement and sentiment tracking.
