Position Description:

We are looking for a Construction Project Manager to join our Construction Team in our Taylor office. Candidates must have a high school diploma, bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field, at least ten years' experience, and GLWA experience is preferred. 
Typical Responsibilities Include:
• Act as the liaison with the client and stakeholders 
• Maintain excellent client relations 
• Conduct field site visits
• Coordinate and communicate with contractors regarding construction project activity 
• Mentor junior staff 
• Responsible for project proposal development including positioning, approach, preparation and pricing
• Responsible for project execution including scope, schedule and budget
• Manage resources to successfully deliver project to client on time and under budget while meeting  or exceeding client expectations 
• Coordinate construction engineering and administration with various team members on the project, including the designers
• Ensure employees have knowledge and tools to complete tasks
• Generate additional sales through business development activities
• Supervise project review (QA/QC) meetings
• Assist with project reports and technical presentations
• Attend client, staff and project meetings
• Estimate fees, review project plans and specifications
• Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
• High school diploma 
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field is preferred or 
equivalent experience
• PE preferred, not required 
Skills:
• 10+ years of related engineering or construction management experience
• GLWA experience preferred 
 
This position should have strong people and team building skills in order to effectively communicate with clients and other staff. This person should also be highly motivated, organized, and able to interpret technical data and perform technical writing. This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in networking within the consultant and client communities.
