About the Role:

The Technical Product Manager, Senior owns the technical product strategy, development, and lifecycle management for assigned internal banking platforms, applications, and systems within the Application Development team. Serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and internal or vendor development teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives, operational needs, regulatory requirements, and technical standards. Responsible for defining product vision, strategy, and roadmap; translating business and system requirements into product and functional specifications; prioritizing and guiding delivery through implementation; and ensuring adoption, stability, scalability, and continuous improvement. This role balances strategic product ownership with deep technical knowledge and systems analysis to minimize risk, optimize operational effectiveness, and deliver secure, compliant, and scalable solutions that support enterprise objectives. This is an individual contributor role.

  • Own the technical and product strategy for a portfolio of internal products and services across a line of business.
  • Define and maintain product vision, roadmap, and priorities aligned with business objectives, enterprise architecture, and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate internal technical needs and recommend solutions for complex, high-risk systems.
  • Responsible for the definition, design, product requirements, and delivery of assigned and applicable products.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and internal or vendor development resources.
  • Influence and align cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, Risk, Compliance, IT); communicate product vision and trade-offs to senior leadership, driving consensus and informed decision-making.
  • Lead discovery and analysis to understand business workflows, system dependencies, and operational requirements.
  • Develop and maintain product, system, and functional requirements, including features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog for assigned platforms.
  • Lead or partner in sprint planning, release planning, and dependency management.
  • Balance business value, regulatory urgency, technical feasibility, and operational risk in prioritization.
  • Assess available technologies and guide development specifications, solution design, and technical tradeoffs.
  • Collaborate with architects to design scalable, resilient, and secure system architectures.
  • Lead and coordinate testing activities, including detailed test cases, UAT, defect analysis, and sign-off.
  • Partner with end users to identify, assess, and communicate system incidents, coordinate resolution with technical teams.
  • Minimize implementation and change risk through adherence to change management and governance procedures.
  • Ensure products comply with all applicable bank regulations, internal policies, security standards, and audit requirements.
  • Own post-launch operational excellence: lead incident triage and post-mortems and ensure the platform meets availability and performance SLAs.
  • Define, monitor, and report on product performance and effectiveness using operational metrics, adoption indicators, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Mentor junior Technical Product Managers and/or cross-functional team members; may lead teams on complex projects.
  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities - knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 7-10 Years Experience in product management, systems analysis, business systems, or technology delivery, preferably in banking or other regulated industries required.
  • 7-10 years' experience working with Agile delivery teams, backlog management, UAT, and release planning required.
  • 7-10 years' experience with enterprise integrations, APIs, vendor platforms, and operational support in production environments required.
  • Strong knowledge of internal banking operations, bank products, and enterprise systems.
  • Advanced ability to analyze complex systems, workflows, and integrations with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of requirements development, systems analysis, and UAT methodologies.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical and functional solutions.
  • Advanced understanding of project and product delivery practices in Agile and iterative environments.
  • Extensive verbal and written communication skills for a variety of audiences (both technical and non-technical).
  • Ability to accurately document problems and resolutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, manage multiple initiatives, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Ability to mentor others and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proficiency with productivity and analysis tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Axure Dev Ops, GitHub, Power BI and data reporting systems.
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) Preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) Preferred.
  • Certified Product Manager (CPM) Preferred.

The pay range for this role is $90,000 to 160,000.00.

The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
