TITLES ELIBIGLE FOR SIGN-ON BONUSES

Certified Teacher Assistant

Bonus: $3,000 ($2,000 in first check and $1,000 after 90 days)

Work hand-in-hand with the Teacher and related service staff, in all activities necessary to support student attainment of IEP goals, including daily program planning and physical environment organization.

Full-time, school hours. 12-month school year. $19.36 - $21.22 hourly range.

High School or GED required. Possession of New York State Continuing Teaching Assistant Certification or Level I, Level II or Level III New York State Certified Teaching Assistant Certification required.

Special Education Teacher

Bonus: $10,000 ($3,000 in first check, $1,500 after 90 days, $5,000 after sign-on for 2nd school year)

Serving as the collaborative leader of a classroom, you will plan and implement developmentally appropriate classroom activities in an innovative educational setting. Preschool and school age opportunities.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree required. New York State Certification in Special Education for Students with Disabilities, Grades 1-6 or 7-12, Initial or Professional. Willing to consider bachelor’s-level candidates currently enrolled in a Special Education Master’s Program leading to Teacher Certification.

Physical Therapist

Bonus: $5,000 ($3,300 in first check, $1,700 after 90 days)

Treat in a school environment serving children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Assess student motor skills while developing and implementing goals to enhance learning potential. Assist students in acquiring functional performance skills needed to participate in and benefit from the educational environment, and to help the student function independently.

Full or Part-Time, school hours. 12-month school year. $71,073 – $77,856 annual salary range for full-time. Part-time salaries pro-rated.

Master’s degree in physical therapy from an APTA-accredited program with all field work completed, NY State Physical Therapy license and certification required. 1-2 years of related experience preferred.

Occupational Therapist

Bonus: $5,000 ($3,300 in first check, $1,700 after 90 days)

Treat in a school environment serving children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Evaluate and assess student fine and gross motor coordination as they impact on the ability to participate and benefit from the educational environment. Implement IEP goals designed to enhance the student's learning potential and acquisition of functional performance skills needed to participate in and benefit from the educational environment as well as help the student function independently.

Full or Part-Time, school hours. 12-month school year. $71,073 – $77,856 annual salary range for full-time. Part-time salaries pro-rated.

Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an AMA and AOTA-accredited program with all field work completed required. OTCB certification and NY State licensure in Occupational Therapy required. 1-2 years of related experience preferred.

Speech Therapist

Bonus: $5,000 ($3,300 in first check, $1,700 after 90 days)

Treating in a school environment serving children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, screen and evaluate communication and feeding/swallowing skills of preschoolers. Develop and implement therapy programs in accordance with ASHA and Birch Family Services guidelines utilizing best practices. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of educational and clinical professionals.

Full or Part-Time, school hours. 12-month school year. $69,482 – 86,960 annual salary range for full-time. Part-time salaries pro-rated.

Master’s degree in Speech Pathology with all field work completed required. CCC preferred but CFY’s considered. NYS Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped Certification (TSHH/TSSLD) required.

Psychologist

Bonus: $5,000 ($3,300 in first check, $1,700 after 90 days)

Provide psychological services to classrooms including but not limited to consultation, intermittent emotional curriculum, crisis intervention, and behavior management plans. Conduct individual play therapy to students with behavioral, social and emotional delays, as well as ongoing parent consultation on an as needed basis. Consult with teachers, teaching assistants, parents, related services staff, and administrators regarding social, behavioral, emotional and developmental issues.

Full or Part-Time, school hours. 12-month school year. $60,000 – 63,000 annual salary range for full-time. Part-time salaries pro-rated.

Master’s degree in Psychology required. NY State School Psychology certification and Psychology license required. 2+ years’ experience with pre-school aged students preferred.

Curriculum Coordinator

Bonus: $10,000 ($3,000 in first check, $1,500 after 90 days, $5,000 after sign-on for 2nd school year)

Collaborate with the Principal in the educational leadership and administration of a school educating students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Assist the Principal to ensure that curriculum and instructional approaches align with NYSED and Birch Core Curricula. Work to ensure the learning environment meets and exceeds the standards established by Birch Family Services and multiple regulatory bodies. May assume responsibility for facilities management, curriculum development, program evaluation and design, site financial and personnel management and emergency procedures as directed by the principal.

Full-time, school hours. 12-month school year. $85,000 - $88,000 annual salary range.

Master’s degree in education and NY State certification in Special Education required. SAS/SBL or SDA required. Pre-school or school age teaching experience and administrator experience required.

Principal

Bonus: $10,000 ($3,000 in first check, $1,500 after 90 days, $5,000 after sign-on for 2nd school year)

Serve as the educational leader and chief administrator of a school educating students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Oversee the health and safety of the children, families and staff, as well as monitor regulatory compliance and fiscal management. Ensure the learning environment meets and exceeds the standards established by Birch Family Services and multiple regulatory bodies. Assume overall responsibility for program quality, facilities management, curriculum development, program evaluation and design change as needed, site financial and personnel management and emergency procedures.

Full-time, school hours. 12-month school year. $96,390 - $129,579.45 annual salary range.

Master’s degree in special education or related services is required. 2+ years’ experience required as school administrator. NY State certification as School Administrator or School District Administrator.
