About the Role:

This role is key to maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction and helping assure field deployed equipment meets Maverick Power’s highest quality standards. Supporting equipment installation, start-up and commissioning efforts, troubleshooting and repair of power distribution equipment and collaborating with engineering and manufacturing staff to upgrade, modify or configure installed equipment. This individual must have a keen sense of technical detail, be very well organized, punctual and act with a sense of urgency in support of our customer needs. Service Technician must be able to interpret electrical drawings, write reports, collect, document and organize technical information. Additionally, must me safety minded and strictly adhere to company and site safety policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer sites and work independently or as part of a team in support of equipment installation, start-up and commissioning efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering, Field Services and Product Management team to as necessary to address quality and warranty concerns.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, service manuals and product instructions for configuration of equipment.
  • Complete field technical reports, update safety documents, documents quality findings and resolutions utilizing company and customer computer maintenance management systems.
  • Work with service management, engineering and manufacturing staff to address manufacturing quality issues and engineering change requests.
  • Responsible for interpreting drawings, wiring diagrams, Bill of Material and specifications.
  • Utilize standard and specialized electrical test equipment to diagnose, program and repair installed equipment.
  • Assist engineering staff in collecting the required information for the development of technical documentation when required.
  • Utilize mechanical abilities to install, adjust and repair various electro-mechanical components or assemblies.
  • Support service sales effort interfacing with engineering and manufacturing staff to develop solutions, monitor production and provide status updates

Qualifications:

  • 2-Yr Technical Degree and minimum of 2 years of electrical/mechanical experience. Alternately an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Ability to travel, including overnight stays when required.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, power studies and other technical documents including equipment operating and repair manuals.
  • Computer program skills must include Microsoft suite of programs
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to drive a company and/or rented vehicle and be insured.
  • Must comply with all company administrative and safety policies.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

Work Environment:
May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
