We are seeking an experienced Residential Plumbing Install Lead to lead plumbing installation projects from start to completion. The Install Lead will perform high-quality residential plumbing work, supervise installation crews, coordinate with other trades, communicate with customers, and ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards and applicable plumbing codes.

The ideal candidate is a skilled plumber and natural leader who can work independently, solve problems in the field, maintain a professional appearance, and take ownership of the quality and completion of each installation.

  • Lead residential plumbing installation projects, including new construction, remodels, replacements, and system upgrades.
  • Install, repair, and test residential plumbing systems, fixtures, water heaters, piping, drains, and related equipment.
  • Read and interpret plumbing plans, specifications, and installation requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate helpers, apprentices, and other installation personnel.
  • Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed efficiently and correctly.
  • Inspect completed work for quality, code compliance, leaks, and proper operation.
  • Diagnose installation issues and develop practical solutions in the field.
  • Coordinate with HVAC, electrical, construction, and other trades when necessary.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, project managers, and company leadership.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
  • Ensure proper use and care of company vehicles, tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Track materials and notify management of shortages or additional requirements.
  • Complete required paperwork, job documentation, photographs, and installation checklists.
  • Follow all company safety policies and applicable plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Represent the company professionally and provide excellent customer service.
  • Train and mentor less-experienced plumbers and apprentices.
  • Assist management with estimating, troubleshooting, quality control, and project planning as needed.

Requirements


  • 3+ years of residential plumbing experience, with demonstrated leadership or lead-plumber experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems and installation practices.
  • Ability to read plumbing plans and understand project specifications.
  • Working knowledge of applicable plumbing codes and safety requirements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and make sound decisions independently.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to lead a crew while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift equipment and materials and perform physically demanding work.
