Salary:

Matrix Video Communications is a Canadian audiovisual and media production solutions company that was established back in 1994. Some of our audiovisual solutions include videoconferencing systems, digital signage solutions, video walls, splitmeeting room configurations, and more. Come join our team in Saskatoon as anAV Installer and be a part of our story! This mid-level Installer position will be completing installation tasks for audio visual projects including but not limited to: pulling cable, installing connectors, terminating racks, mounting projectors, screens and video walls.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review Bill of Materials, Drawings, Project Scope and prepare for site activities
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
  • Perform comprehensive, onsite commercial audio-visual installation including low voltage wiring, rack setup, projector and screen installations, speakers and control systems.
  • Perform cable pulls, solder, crimp and terminate audio, video and network cables
  • Maintain daily communication with Scheduler, Installs Manager and Account Managers on status of project and task lists
  • Must be willing to work out of town, overnight travel will be required on a regular basis


Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work and think independently and work under tight deadlines
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
  • Knowledge of low voltage systems and signal flow for audio, video and control
  • Troubleshooting, quality checks, servicing abilities, problem solving abilities
  • Must be organized and detail oriented


Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of audiovisual integration experience
  • Post-secondary education in Electronics, Broadcasting, or a relevant field is preferred
  • Any industry recognized training is preferred : Avixa CTS, CTS-I, Crestron, Biamp, Extron, QSC, Dante


Safety:

  • Bondable, clean driving record
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and work on ladders and lifts
  • Trade certifications: WHMIS, fall arrest, scissor lift and other safety Certifications
