We are currently seeking to add a Survey Manager/Sr. Surveyor to our dynamic team in Vancouver, Washington.  

As a Survey Manager/Sr. Surveyor in the Vancouver office, this leadership role will assist with the oversight and management of the Survey Department including project scheduling, budgets, proposals, and business development. Our multi-disciplinary team at Apex services local and regional clients in many diversified, exciting projects such as Master Plan Developments, Long Plats, ALTA Surveys, renewable energy, and public land survey system sites to name a few.

Primary Job Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the Vancouver Survey Department and projects  
  • Oversee and perform land survey and mapping functions  
  • Supervise Survey Technicians and survey field crews  
  • Plan and coordinate work of field staff  
  • Review and certify completed work to satisfy project requirements  
  • Work with Apex Clients to identify project needs and prepare scope and fee proposals  
  • Secure additional survey projects  

What we are looking for:

  • Washington state registered Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)  
  • 8+ years' experience overseeing and performing land surveys as a registered PLS  
  • Experience in office production including boundary, topographic and construction surveying  
  • Experience in business development  
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil3D and Carlson Survey   
  • Aspiration for growth opportunities including taking on management responsibilities  
  • Valid driver's license
