Job description

Responsible to design, integrate, or improve manufacturing procedures and inspection standards. Administering various engineering solutions in the areas of cost savings, productivity or reliability improvements throughout the facility and carrying out projects in the field of Product Development, Manufacturing and Engineering.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
โ€ข Applying engineering knowledge and Six sigma methodologies to establish and maintain control and capability for production processes.
โ€ข Investigate and resolve manufacturing problems through the direction and deployment of engineering to optimize product performance while minimizing cost.
โ€ข Assist in conducting design of experiments studies related to design, production methods, and equipment to recommend improvements based on engineering standards and guidelines.
โ€ข Monitor and report on cost reductions which are a result of design of experiments improvements to improve profit margins.
โ€ข Assist in drafting and designing new products to illustrate maximum efficiency using CAD and simulation programs.
โ€ข Assist in planning and establishing sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.
โ€ข Coordinating and implementing quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve quality issues and maximize product reliability.
โ€ข Providing creative, innovative and comprehensive problem-solving capability and suggesting practical solutions.
โ€ข Gather data, analyze results and write reports to learn and make recommendations as a part of a cross functional team of engineers, quality control, operations manager and other staff members.
โ€ข Assist in any other projects the engineering department is working on.
Education and Experience Requirements/Preferences:
โ€ข Bachelor's in Industrial, Mechanical, or Materials Science Engineering or equivalent experience/education combination.
โ€ข 0-1-year experience in manufacturing, investment casting foundry is a plus
Skills & Physical Requirements:
โ€ข Working knowledge SolidWorks or other CAD program
โ€ข Knowledge of Solid cast or casting simulation
โ€ข Minitab or JMP SPC software
โ€ข Six Sigma and/or Lean
โ€ข Familiarity with ERP system
