Job description

Dry Blend Operator - Flavors
Location: Northbrook, IL
Join Our Team as a Dry Blend Operator in our Thriving Flavor Manufacturing Plant!
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dry Blend Operator to join our production team. The Dry Blend Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining blending equipment to produce dry blends according to recipes and specifications. This role is crucial in ensuring the consistency, quality, and efficiency of our flavor production process.
Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Review orders and determine proper sequence based on customer needs.
  • Choose the appropriate blender for the size of the batch.
  • Obtain necessary raw materials.
  • Position raw materials for loading into a blender. Use a lift table on the large blenders. Forklift operation required.
  • Mix appropriately; sequencing is important if plating. Lab analysis may be required on some batches in the process.
  • Pack out appropriately using Sweeco sifter, boxes, and proper labels. Palletize
  • Use appropriate lockout procedures when cleaning and follow approved cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
  • Follow GMP, Safety guidelines.
  • Work within proper GMP, HACCP, Allergen, SSOP, Kosher, etc. guidelines.
  • Keep the work area in a clean, orderly condition.
  • Back up another trained Dry-Blend Operator as needed.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food or flavor production.
  • Knowledge of blending equipment and processes is preferred.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and recipes accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic math skills for weighing and measuring ingredients.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to work in a physically demanding role and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines.
  • Reliable and punctual.
