A&M Home Services is growing and currently seeking a Commercial Estimator to join our Commercial Sales division. This role works closely with the Commercial Manager to increase capacity, support sales growth, and ensure accurate, competitive project bids.

As a Commercial Estimator, you will identify new bidding opportunities through public and private channels, perform detailed take-offs from construction drawings and job site visits, and prepare accurate cost-to-produce budgets and proposals.

This position requires strong knowledge of construction, estimating expertise, and the ability to manage multiple bids while maintaining accuracy and organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new commercial bidding opportunities (public and private)
  • Perform accurate material and labor take-offs from plans and job site visits
  • Utilize estimating software to generate pricing for various scopes of work
  • Send bid packages to subcontractors and suppliers and evaluate responses
  • Develop cost-to-produce budgets and prepare proposals for management review
  • Prepare final project handoff packages, including:
    • Production and accounting budgets
  • Collaborate closely with sales, production, and accounting teams

Primary estimating focus includes sloped roofing, flat roofing, and siding projects.

  • 3-5+ years of experience in construction estimating and project management
  • Experience performing take-offs using software such as The Edge or similar
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills

Schedule:

  • Office-based role in Plymouth, IN
