Job description

PADNOS Recycling Truck Driver

PADNOS is a full-service recycling company handling paper, plastic, metals and electronic recycling. We tailor recycling programs for consumer and industrial clients throughout the United States. PADNOS was founded over a century ago and continues to transform the recycling industry. The company has thrived as a family business through four generations and has grown to be a market leader and best in class innovator.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for driving a company truck, such as a Van Trailer, Highside, Switch Truck, Box Truck, Bulk Tanker or Tow Truck, and switching trailers or containers at customer account locations. Also responsible for other driving assignments as directed by Dispatch. Actively participates and displays behaviors of the company values.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 5:00 pm

Responsibilities
  • Service customer locations and always maintain good customer relations
  • Provide outstanding customer service as a service representative for the company
  • Prepare shipping documents for all loads, weigh all loads and perform initial material inspections
  • Maintain paperwork for scale tickets, shippers, logbooks and trip reports
  • Complete and submit necessary reports, such as accident damage and traffic violation reports
  • Perform daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspection
  • Submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required
  • Inspect loads and tarp/secure loads when necessary
  • Maintain inside of truck
  • Data entry for vendor codes and trip reports
  • Other duties as necessary
  • Daily vehicle inspection reports
Qualifications
  • High school diploma
  • CDL Class A license required with no manual transmission restriction (E restriction)
  • Must have a clear driving record
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Lift up to 75 lbs. while chaining
  • Legible handwriting and strong mathematical skills
  • Ability to work independently and be detailed oriented
  • Ability to maintain logbooks
  • Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment
  • Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
  • Be over 18 years of age.
