Senior partners lead every mandate from origination through close. The firm takes on a limited number of engagements and executes at institutional standards.About the RoleEPL Advisory is seeking a senior sell-side banker to own mandate origination and execution as Head of Sell-Side M&A. You will work directly alongside EPL's founding partners, lead your own deal pipeline, and help build the firm's sell-side platform in the lower middle market. This is a partner-level role structured for an experienced originator, not an execution resource. Compensation is success-fee revenue share only.Responsibilities- Source and win exclusive sell-side mandates from founder and family-owned businesses in the $5M to $50M EV range- Lead full sell-side processes end-to-end: CIPs, financial models, buyer qualification, management presentations, LOI and purchase agreement negotiation- Build and maintain coverage of lower-middle-market-active PE sponsors and strategic acquirers across target verticals- Partner with EPL leadership on firm strategy, process standards, and platform development- Mentor team members as the practice scalesQualifications- 10+ years of investment banking experience with a primary sell-side M&A focus- Demonstrated track record originating mandates independently- Deep sector knowledge in one or more of: B2B tech, dual-use/defense, energy, or industrial manufacturing- Valid FINRA Series 79 and 63 (or ability to obtain; hosting available through Finalis Securities LLC)- Ability to guide owners through high-stakes, emotionally complex sale processes- Autonomous operator: able to manage multiple mandates simultaneously without institutional support infrastructureCompensation: 100% success-fee revenue share on retainers and success fees.
