Job description

Job Title: Assembly TechnicianJob Description

The Assembly Technician will build and assemble sensor switches, power packs, ceiling sensors, and related components throughout the day. This role involves standing for extended periods, working with basic hand tools, and performing light mechanical assembly and small wiring tasks. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and a solid work ethic.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble sensor switches, power packs, ceiling sensors, and other related products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform mechanical assembly of housings and ensure all components are correctly fitted and secured.
  • Carry out small wiring tasks and assemble electrical components that go into the housing units.
  • Use basic hand tools safely and effectively to complete daily assembly tasks.
  • Inspect assembled products for accuracy, proper function, and adherence to quality requirements.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail to ensure all parts are correctly assembled and defects are identified and corrected.
  • Work reliably and remain on task, staying until assigned work is completed.
  • Stand throughout the shift while working on the assembly line and manage repetitive tasks efficiently.
  • Collaborate with a small team on the assembly line while being able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Follow all workplace guidelines, including dress code and safety procedures, to maintain a clean and controlled work environment.
Essential Skills
  • At least 1 year of assembly experience in a production, manufacturing, or similar environment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to work with mechanical components and housings.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and high-quality assembly work.
  • High level of reliability and consistency in attendance and task completion.
  • Strong work ethic, including willingness to stay until the job is finished.
  • Comfort and proficiency using basic hand tools.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks on an assembly line.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a small team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in assembly, production, manufacturing, inspection, or technician roles.
  • Comfort working in a small, laid-back environment with a close-knit team.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Basic understanding of simple wiring and electrical component assembly.

The position follows a first-shift schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with Friday through Sunday off. Work is performed while standing at the assembly line, using basic hand tools to complete mechanical and wiring tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
