Job Summary:
The Hotel Van Driver is responsible for transporting guests to and from designated locations safely and promptly, ensuring a positive guest experience. This role requires a focus on safety, punctuality, and exceptional customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate the hotel van to transport guests between the hotel and various destinations (e.g., airport, local attractions).
  • Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage, ensuring it is secured properly.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle, including checking tire pressure, oil levels, and other safety features; report any maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
  • Keep the vehicle clean and presentable both inside and out.
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and fuel usage.
  • Provide information to guests regarding local attractions, hotel services, and other inquiries.
  • Communicate effectively with the front desk or other departments regarding guest pick-up/drop-off times.
  • During down time, driver will own the welcome experience, help with luggage, keep lobby and entry clean, and help with restocking and maintaining Pantry.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Familiarity with the local area is a plus.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
  • Ability to assist guests with luggage, including lifting, carrying, and/or moving up to [specify weight, e.g., 50 lbs].
  • Must be able to enter and exit the vehicle frequently throughout the shift.
  • Ability to perform routine vehicle checks, including bending, kneeling, and reaching.

  • Work is primarily performed outdoors while driving or assisting guests with luggage.
