Job Summary:
The Shuttle Service Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day shuttle operations during assigned shifts, ensuring the efficient, safe, and reliable transportation of passengers. This role involves supervising shuttle drivers, coordinating schedules, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining high service standards. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented leader with excellent problem-solving skills, capable of making real-time decisions to optimize shuttle service performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Supervision:
  • Lead and manage a team of shuttle drivers, ensuring adherence to schedules and company policies.
  • Assist in training, mentoring, and providing performance feedback to drivers.
  • Address any personnel issues or emergencies that arise during shifts.

Operations Management:
  • Coordinate shuttle routes and driver assignments to maintain timely and efficient service.
  • Monitor shuttle operations, including traffic conditions, vehicle status, and passenger needs.
  • Ensure that drivers conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of shuttle vehicles for safety and cleanliness.

Customer Service:
  • Address passenger inquiries, complaints, or special requests in a professional manner.
  • Foster a positive customer experience by maintaining high service standards and resolving service issues promptly.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure all shuttle drivers comply with safety regulations, company policies, and local transportation laws.
    • Conduct routine safety checks and coordinate maintenance schedules for shuttle vehicles.
    • Monitor and enforce adherence to idling reduction and fuel-saving programs, as applicable.

Administrative Duties:
  • Prepare and submit shift reports, including driver performance and any incidents.
  • Track and report fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance needs, and service metrics.
  • Collaborate with management to adjust schedules and routes as needed to optimize operations.

Qualifications:
  • Transportation Supervisor experience 1-2 years
  • Valid driver's license; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
  • Proven experience in transportation or logistics operations, with leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple vehicles and drivers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards.

Working Conditions:
  • Primarily outdoor work with exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and be comfortable walking or standing for extended periods.
