SHUTTLE DRIVER (STARLINK)
At SpaceX, we're leveraging our experience in building rockets and spacecraft to deploy Starlink, the world's most advanced broadband internet system. Starlink is the world's largest satellite constellation and is providing fast, reliable internet to 10M+ users worldwide. We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system - thousands of satellites, consumer antennae that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing, and the software that brings it all together.
The Shuttle Driver position will provide essential transportation services at the Redmond and Woodinville, WA locations. Providing safe pick-up, transportation, and drop-off of SpaceX employees and their cargo while maintaining a punctual schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Transport people in a shuttle between locations
  • Safely load and unload cargo as needed
  • Responsible for ensuring shuttle contents are secured for safe and undamaged delivery to destination
  • Avoiding high-traffic and accident-prone routes, where possible
  • Monitor service records of the vehicle when driving and report all problems to manager immediately
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of vehicle and refueling/recharging when low
  • In case of emergency contact immediate supervisor and provide detailed information to remedy issue

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 2+ years of professional experience driving people in a commercial setting OR 6+ months of contracting driving experience at SpaceX
  • Class B CDL passenger endorsement

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 10+ years of professional driving experience
  • Professional experience driving people
  • Outstanding knowledge of applicable transport and safety codes
  • Experience with route planning
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong customer-service background

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid driver's license and clean DMV record
  • Ability to work all required hours, weekends and off-shifts with minimal notice. Estimated shift time: 9:00AM - 7:00PM

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range:
Level 1: $22.50
Level 2: $23.50
Level 3: $24.50
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Employees accrue paid sick leave pursuant to Company policy which satisfies or exceeds the accrual, carryover, and use requirements of the law.
