Shuttle Bus Driver
Vivalon Rides is hiring shuttle bus drivers for Modesto routes! Join a mission-driven team at Vivalon, a trusted nonprofit serving the community for over 70 years. Requirements
Qualifications/requirements:
- Completion of paid training with full attendance
- A valid California commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger (P) endorsement
- Upon hire, we will provide training for you to earn a DMV credential (VDDP Certificate) to drive developmentally disabled persons (VDDP) within 60 days. This credentialing requires a comprehensive background review and requires an interview by the CHP. Continued employment is dependent upon successful completion of this
- Friendly, reliable, and committed to excellent customer service
- Clean driving record and valid California driver's license
- Physically able to kneel, bend, secure wheelchairs, and assist passengers
- Availability for training in Ceres, CA, typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM for 8 business days
- One professional reference required
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol screening, and comply with ongoing random testing per federal regulations
Compensation and benefits:
- $22.50 - $24.75/hour depending on experience
