3rd Shift Yard Jockey 9:00pm - 5:30am - Shift Differential

Salary Range:23.00 (USD) Hourly

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor. 9:00pm -6:30am. This position will involve a variety of responsibilities/tasks including moving trailers through the yard, moving materials through the warehouse facility. The incumbent will perform general warehouse duties including shipping/receiving, picking and packing orders, and other warehouse related job tasks as assigned while meeting company standards of safety, security and productivity.

Yard Shunter:

Safe and efficient movement of trailers in and out of dock doors.

Maintain routine radio communication with yard control.

Daily inspection of truck.

Backing trailers into designated areas as requested.

Check tires and do circle checks to make sure trailers are capable to move.

Performing and documenting daily pre-trip inspections of the truck.

Monitor truck condition and communicate when repairs are required.

Other duties as assigned.

MHE Operator:

Loads, unloads, moves, stacks and stages products and materials using a reach truck or other power equipment.

Pulls and prepares product for shipment, ensuring exact number and type of product is loaded. Stack skids or pallets in designated areas.

Performs duties in efficient manner that meets both company and customer standards.

Maintain cleanliness and safety of equipment, performs operator checks and reports service requests as needed.

Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.

Interact with Customer Service Representative, Logistics Coordinator or Driver to work as a team when shipping and receiving loads.

Actively communicate with supervisors and operators to effectively handle material and notify them of problems/concerns.

Verify and sign applicable driver documentation as required.

As a team member work closely with company employees in a team-oriented environment.

Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE

Two (2) years warehouse experience, with a minimum of (1) one-year operating material handling equipment (MHE) and a proven track record for safety.

Previous experience with RF based Warehouse Management System (WMS), preferably Red Prairie.

Minimum of 5 years’ Shunting experience.
