Job Description:
We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our shovel crew. The position involves working as part of a set crew, consisting of three shovel crew members and one foreman, to clear snow and apply salt or brine to designated locations. The crew will follow a pre-programmed route to service various sites. Will be required to meet in Norton and will be transported in work vehicle to each location. 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Shovel snow from designated areas, ensuring clear and safe pathways.
  • Apply salt or brine to prevent ice buildup and maintain safety.
  • Follow a pre-programmed route to service at +/-100 locations, each ranging from 50 to 100 square feet.
  • Work as part of a team, communicating effectively with the foreman and other crew members.
  • Be available 24 hours a day, responding promptly to work calls during snow events and for occasional post-storm clearing.
  • Maintain equipment and materials, ensuring they are in good working order and properly stored.
Qualifications:

  • Must be reliable and punctual, with the ability to work on-call as required.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including cold and snow.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and shoveling snow.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Prior experience in snow removal or similar work is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of shoveling snow and performing physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
