Job description

HYBRID ROLE BASED OUT OF OUR NORCROSS OFFICE
Job Purpose:
Our Supply Planning Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing 20 Supply Planning Coordinators. They will be responsible for performance management and development of the team. They will also be managing the planning and execution of our inventory strategy for a high volume and complex set of items, categories, and suppliers. This position will influence and drive inventory performance to support business targets for Fill Rate and Days Inventory on Hand (DIOH). They will manage the replenishment strategies and planning parameters within Oracle system (EVO) to optimize inventory performance, monitor and update the Replenishment Forecast to account for short term changes in demand and will manage the determination of purchase order quantity in Buyer Workbench (BWB).
Job Responsibilities:
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and mentor for their team and may back-up manager in their absence.
• Perform daily inventory replenishment review to monitor exceptions, and recommended purchase requisitions in Oracle System (EVO) and the Buyer Workbench.
• Manage Replenishment policy and parameter setting within EVO including lead time, minimum order quantities, product segmentation, etc.
• Monitor forecast and projected inventory levels to minimize inventory shortage and surplus as well as ensures forecast accuracy.
• Leverage EVO reporting and analytics to make proactive strategic replenishment decisions.
• Coordinate with Demand Planners on the inventory placement for marketing initiatives in collaboration with Regional Sales Leader, Supply Planning team, and Category Management.
• Resolve complex issues escalated by Supply Coordinators (e.g., following up on purchase orders, expediting purchase orders, resolving purchase order and invoice discrepancies as needed.).
• Consistently monitor supplier performance; conduct supplier reviews driving metric improvements (LOTC, Lead Time Improvements, supplier forecasts, etc.) driving towards resolution of issues optimizing supplier performance.
• Actively participate and manage projects as requested, which will be outside normal purchasing responsibilities, in addition to those within purchasing arena (e.g., shuttle reduction, ABC Classification, NetOps Consolidation and Continuous Improvement initiatives.).
• Actively work with sourcing team to drive supplier minimum reductions and service improvements, through forecast collaboration.
• Work collaboratively to effectively manage Customer Dedicated Inventory, Sales Reps, Category Management teams to influence and advise stocking strategies, trends and performance.
• Accurately and concisely communicate updates to the organization, at all levels and keeps the organization abreast on requests, questions, and concerns; proactively take initiative on questions or issues that arise.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
• Management or leadership experience preferred
• Demonstrated strategic mindset able to balance multiple objectives and resolve complex business problems.
• Able to develop and maintain effective, positive working relationships with a diverse group of individuals; excellent relationship building and management skills.
• Ability to adopt new technology and adapt to business changes, prioritize, organize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Unwavering sense of urgency to respond to inquiries and service internal and external customers.
• Expert understanding of inventory replenishment best practices.
• Expert technical and analytical skills, i.e. statistical and mathematical models, issue research and resolution, with and excellent attention to detail.
Work Experience:
• 5-10 years of related job experience.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
• Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Replenishment Planning preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
• Strong planning and organization skills are required.
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
