JOB TITLE:Rental Technician
DIVISION:Rental Department
REPORTS TO:Rental Shop Supervisor
LOCATION:Rental Shops
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time/ Part-Time/ Seasonal/ Hourly
POSITION:
The Rental Technician serves as a front-line representative of Solitude Mountain Resort, providing exceptional customer service by fitting, selecting, and setting up rental equipment for guests. The rental team also acts as an information resource for the resort, assisting guests with questions and directions.
Additional responsibilities include inspecting and processing returned equipment, operating point-of-sale (POS) systems, learning and utilizing rental management software, maintaining shop cleanliness and organization, and supporting overall rental shop operations.

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have customer service experience
- Capable of standing for extended periods of time and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willing to work flexible work schedules that may include weekends and holidays
- Self-starter, ability to work with high standards without supervision
- High safety standards
- Attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of winter and summer sports equipment
- Basic cashiering skills
- Passion for winter and summer sports
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide a high level of customer service
- Must be proactive and take ownership of situations while anticipating and responding to guest needs and wants.
- Responsible for proper setup up of rental equipment
- Test and certify rental alpine bindings
- Provide daily maintenance on rental equipment
- Provide accurate cashiering
