Easlan Management is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to serve as a Maintenance Technician for Alera West Apartments in Columbia, SC.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for general maintenance tasks, responding to service requests, executing repairs, troubleshooting, ensuring apartment turnovers, and performing preventative maintenance. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Essential Functions

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on vacated apartments, including minor painting, repair walls, doors, woodwork, plumbing, pressure washing, gutter cleaning, landscape pruning, and electrical work.
  • Maintain properties' interior and exterior appearance to enhance "street curb appeal" for potential tenants.

 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, *unless otherwise specified by the property. 

  • After hours on call for emergencies is mandatory (rotating). 
  • Some occasional weekend work may be required. 

Qualifications

  • 2 years of previous maintenance experience in multi-family/residential properties or equivalent.
  • CPO certification is preferred but not required.
  • EPA 608 type 1 & 2 or Universal certification required.
  • Must pass the Maintenance Skills Competency Test.
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Comfortable with duties related to maintaining apartment units.
  • Neat, well-groomed, and well-spoken, with the ability to interact professionally with potential and current residents.

  • Frequent stretching, use of upper body, and occasional turning and twisting at the waist.
