About the Role

At Denny’s, we’re hiring Short Order Cooks who can handle the pace and take pride in the craft.

This isn’t a one-station role. You’ll be responsible for cooking complete meals, managing multiple tickets at once, and keeping the kitchen running smoothly from order to plate. Every dish you put out needs to be hot, accurate, and on time.

What You’ll Do
  • Cook full meals start to finish, coordinating multiple items per order
  • Manage multiple tickets at once with strong timing and attention to detail
  • Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items to brand standards
  • Operate grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and portion control guidelines
  • Work closely with servers and team members to deliver a smooth guest experience
  • Keep your station clean, organized, and ready for peak volume
